FIDE FORUM - CGM Conversations with Chairmen: A Standing Item in Board Agendas
The importance of climate change is already reflected in the board agenda. Embedded as part of the ESG strategy, climate-related priorities present business with strategic opportunities as well as fresh developments in the realignment of its business model to a future low carbon economy. These developments have raised the need for Boards to adopt a more proactive approach towards addressing climate-related risks, and to increase its readiness.
In preparing Boards for such commitment, FIDE FORUM is pleased to partner with Climate Governance Malaysia (CGM) to host a one-hour event on climate change update. The event is part of its series Conversations with Chairmen: A Standing Item in Board Agenda.
We are pleased to invite you to this engagement with the Chairman of the Climate Governance Initiative. Ms Karina Litvack will be the main speaker, she will set the context of recent global climate-related developments, but will look forward to hear and address burning board questions. The objectives of this engagement are as follows:
• To meet and discuss with Member Directors on pressing issues relating to climate governance;
• To update about the latest developments by businesses and industries on climate actions; and
• To provide perspectives of institutional investors as they demand better reporting and disclosure.
The moderator for this event is Ms Chong Chye Neo.
