Our Beginnings

FIDE FORUM (FORUM) is a community of Board leaders in best corporate governance practices. The FORUM is an idea initiated by alumni members of the Financial Institutions Directors’ Education (FIDE) Programme and comprises eminent board members of financial institutions.

Incorporated as a company limited by guarantee, the FORUM was officially launched by Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz, Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) in June 2012. 

The FORUM endeavors to create a network of financial institutions’ directors to foster and synergise communication, cooperation and collaboration among its Members and stakeholders. The FORUM advocates good corporate governance practices through our vision and mission, and is committed to develop world class directors in the financial services sector.

Since our establishment, the FORUM, with the support and commitment of our Members, has achieved significant milestones in promoting thought leadership in corporate governance. Moving forward, our resources will continuously be dedicated to building and shaping thoughts and leadership in governance practices.
