Artificial Intelligence and Its Role in FIs
Venue : Sime Darby Convention Centre
Event Description
Among the key technologies disrupting the financial services industry such as big data analytics, cloud computing and blockchain, AI is one technology that is fundamentally reshaping how FIs operate and interact with customers. According to the latest statistics published by the International Data Corporation, global spending on AI systems is expected to grow to nearly USD35.8 billion in 2019, an increase of 44% over the amount spent from the previous year. Although global spending on AI systems in 2019 will be led by the retail industry, it is anticipated that the banking industry will come in second with approximately USD5.6 billion going towards AI-enabled solutions such as customer service chatbots, automated threat intelligence & prevention systems, as well as fraud analysis & investigation systems.
In view of the above, this masterclass, which will be facilitated by a prominent expert and thought-leader in AI within the financial services industry, Ms Clara Durodié will touch on key areas, such as:
1. What is AI?
2. Use-case/application of AI within financial services
3. Developing an AI strategy for FIs
4. Key corporate governance questions that the Boards of FIs should ask in adopting an AI strategy.
